1925 Pinup Calendar Page (Blonde)

$67.00

Since 1878, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch circulated one of the United States most read newspapers. By 1881, the Post-Dispatch had over 22,000 top ranking exposés, and was coined as one of the “largest evening newspapers in the city.” To keep their paper fresh and exciting, owner Joseph Pulitzer created the idea of the “St. Louis Dispatch-Post Pinup Calendar,” which featured the portrait of the most beautiful Pinup models of the time. This calendar page features a beautiful blonde with rosy cheeks and a sleek, backless black dress from November of 1925. The calendar page has been kept in a plastic protective sleeve to preserve its original condition. Tearing and rips can be seen around the edges of the pages with most notable rip in the top middle.
