Cows In Water Painting

This primitive painting showcases the mastery of oil painting. Set amongst a river, four cows can be seen wading in the riverbed. In the background is a lush forest with an overhanging bridge amongst the ruins of what appears to be a once great architectural structure. The oil painting is affixed to a small sheet of canvas and board. The canvas has begun to detach from the board and minor tears can be seen on the original canvas. Some of the paint has faded away due to age while the edges have also stared to fray.
