Towards the end of the 1800s there was a great fascination with objects representing the West and the frontier and for this reason many items with horns were popular. Horns from all types of animals including buffalo, elk, and longhorn cattle were used to create furniture items such as tables, rocking chairs, and footstools and were often traded to the East. This Early American furniture piece is decorated with horns and a studded fabric design. Although it is a bit weathered and in need of some polish it is the perfect combination of Western history and rustic style in one piece that anyone can appreciate and admire.
